American Idol Season 8; Adam Lambert Finally Confirms: “I’m Gay”

Adam Lambert finally confirms his sexuality in the new issue of Rolling Stone (on stands tomorrow).

“I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” the American Idol runner-up says.

“I’m proud of my sexuality,” continues the rocker, who was photographed holding hands with interior designer Drake LaBry earlier this month. “I embrace it. It’s just another part of me.”

But Lambert, 27, from San Diego — who performed Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come” on the Idol finale — says he’s not the poster boy for gay rights.

“I’m trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader,” he tells RS contributor Vanessa Grigoriadis.

Lambert admits that he was nervous about coming out while Idol was still on the air because contestants are under a media embargo, and he wanted to do it on his “own terms.” (He also says producers were open to him handling it however he wanted to.)

“I was worried that [coming out] would be so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing,” Lambert tells the mag. “I’m an entertainer, and who I am and what I do in my personal life is a separate thing. It shouldn’t matter. Except it does. It’s really confusing.”

Lambert credits the FOX reality show with helping him gain self confidence.

“I finally checked into my self-worth for the first time in my life, and the fact that it coincided with Idol is so sweet,” he says. “I mean, I still have moments where I think, ‘Oh, my skin is terrible, and I’m a little fat — I should really go to the gym more.’ But for the most part, when I look in the mirror now, I finally see somebody who can do something cool.”

List of Dr. Hayden Kho’s women: The compilation

Based on news reports on the Hayden sex scandal, legal complaints, Senate press releases, entertainment columns, TV talk shows and radio interviews, here is the ultimate list of women linked or being linked to Dr. Hayden Kho, a commercial model who practiced cosmetic medicine for the Belo Medical Group, whose clients include the country’s top celebrities and models. The list is a virtual All-Star team.

1. Dr. Vicky Belo – the Philippines’ most prominent cosmetic surgeon. She was a long-time lover of Hayden, who worked for her in the Belo Medical Group. Belo had already admitted she and Hayden had recorded a private sex video, but the said video was never leaked. She had Hayden’s computer hard drive searched for the videos of Hayden’s women which resulted in their discovery. The result was one of the biggest sex scandals in Asia. Apparently, all women had some things in common: good looks, long hair, light complexion and a doctor, actress or model.

2. Katrina Halili – a bit actress whose affair with Hayden Kho in led to the breakup of Hayden and Belo in December 2008. Three sex videos of her and Hayden had been leaked to the Internet. She had filed legal complaints against Hayden for recording their trysts without her knowledge.

3. Maricar Reyes – A commercial model and physician. Former girlfriend of Hayden. Three videos of her and Hayden had been uploaded and shared on the Web. She entered showbusiness via ABS-CBN’s TV series “I Love Betty La Fea” along with John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. Maricar is also a model for the Belo Medical Group.

4. Mariana Del Rio – A 5′10 commercial model who’s half Brazilian, half Filipino. She was 16 years old when she became popular with the Samba Brazilian-Style Corned Beef Commercial. She’s reportedly back in Sao Paolo, Brazil. A sex video of her and Hayden was also released on the web.

5. Isabella (Isabel) Oli – A commercial model. She had past relationship with Marco Alcaraz and Paolo Contis. There is talk of a sex video with Hayden but nothing has materialized.

6. Princess Velasco – a former marketing assistant of Belo. She had reportedly admitted having an affair with Hayden. Velasco’s boyfriend was said to have been responsible for reporting the existence of the videos to Belo, who then had Hayden’s friend, Eric Chua, enter Hayden’s condo unit and take the videos from his laptop computer. There is no sex video of Princess and Hayden that was released

7. Iza Calzado – Iza Calzado hosted the 18th Anniversary celebration of the Belo Medical Group. Iza Calzado’s connection with Hayden is just a talk of showbiz gossipists but some columnists are talking of a sex video with Hayden that’s being spread via cellphones.

8. Bea Alonzo – a client of the Belo Medical Group. She’s a star of the ABS-CBN TV network.

9. Rufa Mae Quinto – Rufa Mae Quinto allegedly had an affair with Hayden before the Hayden-Katrina affair. She however, denied reports that she was the reason for the breakup of Dr. Belo and Dr. Kho.  There are persistent talks of a Hayden Kho-Rufa Mae video, but none has surfaced so far.

10. Lolit Solis – Hayden’s former talent manager. She was the one who revealed that Rufa Mae and Hayden had an affair. She has turned to one of Hayden’s most vocal critics. A Hayden-Lolit Solis video has become a subject of prank text messages and emails, apparently a humorous take on their professional relationship that has turned sour.

The names listed thus far are all celebrities. An ongoing Senate investigation on the allegedly 40 plus sex videos of Hayden Kho revealed more women, some of them businesswomen in the elite circles.

Kho allegedly recorded all his sexual trysts in secret.

The Woman Who Started The Hayden Kho Scandals – Princess Velasco

The Hayden Kho controversy started because of a woman.

However, her name isn’t Maricar Reyes, Katrina Halili, Ruffa Mae Quinto, Bong Revilla or Lolit Solis. Her name isn’t even Dr. Vicki Belo either.

Her name is Princess Velasco.

To begin our discussion, let us go back in time to January of 2009 when Hayden Kho gave one of his first interviews after the infamous break-up with Vicki Belo…

In those interviews, Hayden talked of a former good friend who entered his condo unit to steal his laptop with its hard drives and his journals. He said this in the Ricky Lo and Lolit Solis interview for “Star Talk.” He accused Dr. Vicki as responsible for giving the key to his good friend which gave him access to his condo. This new account provides the motive for his good friend to betray him. It was not just an out-of-the-blue act but something well-motivated.

When interviewed, Hayden admitted, “Pinagkaishan nila ako. ‘Yung mga barkada ko, supposedly. Parang conspiracy. May ginawa akong mali sa kanya, ngayon bumabawi siya sa akin.” He mentioned of a “kasalanan (offense)” which he did not specify. When asked to do so, he said, “Hindi po puwedeng sabihin. Secret po.” For his good friend to betray him and for him to keep it a secret, it must be a big offense that can betray, for sure, him.

Hayden has not admitted there is a sex video. What he had admitted are videos of faces of talking people. But this new account says there is a sex video and even identifies the women in it which include known actresses, models, businesswomen and other unknown women. STIR decided to withhold their names for the concerned person’s protection. It is safe to assume, however, that any woman Hayden had sex with in said room had been videotaped without her knowledge.

This interview clearly points to some facts that we are just beginning to uncover with the recent spate of controversial events:

1. That Hayden Kho, Eric Johnston Chua, and Bistek Rosario are – or at least, “were” – friends.
2. That Bistek Rosario had a girlfriend.
3. That Hayden Kho fucked the brains off of Bistek’s girlfriend during the time when Bistek and the girl were still a couple.
4. That Bistek learned about the affair.
5. That, in retaliation, Bistek plotted with Eric Chua to inform Vicki Belo of Hayden Kho’s womanizing ways.
6. That, to present Vicki with evidence of Hayden’s infidelity, Bistek and Eric convinced her to help them get a hold of Hayden’s laptop where explicit videos of his sexcapades with a variety of women were stored.
7. That Vicki agreed, and that she, personally, gave them the keys to what we can assume is Hayden’s apartment.
8. That, immediately afterwards, Vicki broke up with Hayden. This was in December of 2008.

Bistek’s girlfriend, allegedly, secured a job at the Belo Medical Group because of Hayden Kho.

Following the trail will reveal a name for the girl: Princess Velasco. One website even called her the “missing link” in explaining the Hayden Kho-Vicki Belo break-up.

A handful of blogs have already conducted their investigations on the matter. As early as January of 2009, after the above quoted interview, the name “Princess Velasco” already materialized. Some of these blogs even managed to find a picture…

That’s not really a clear – and neither is it a very flattering – picture of her.

Did some extra research and came up with these pictures which were gathered from a blog of a former colleague of hers. I don’t think these pictures have been published anywhere else aside from the said colleague’s blog.

A(H1N1) is now in the Philippines.

Enough from the Kho’s Scandal. Let’s talk about on more serious matter, Duque confirms first A(H1N1) RP case

Health Secretary Dr. Francisco Duque III Thursday night confirmed the first case of Influenza A(H1N1) infection in the country—in a 10-year-old Filipino girl who arrived from the United States with her parents on May 18.

“The DoH confirms today the first case of AH1N1 in the Philippines. She is a female traveler who arrived in the country on May 18 from the United States, whose throat specimen tested positive based on results from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM),” Duque said.

Duque, who is in Geneva, Switzerland, attending a World Health Organization (WHO) meeting, held a video conference with reporters at the WHO regional office in Manila to break the news Thursday night.

“I talked with the president and from the tone of her voice she was very concerned. In fact, she gave me the go signal to conduct this press conference,” Duque added.

Dr. Eric Tayag of the Department of Health’s National Epidemiology Center said the girl, who was not identified, had also been to Canada.

The girl, he said, developed a fever, cough and sore throat on May 19, the day after arriving, and was brought to the RITM in Muntinlupa City where the diagnosis was confirmed Thursday.

Despite the index case, Duque said: “There is no community outbreak in the country, measures are being done to prevent transmission, including quarantine of immediate household of the first case. The first case is something we have been preparing for as a result of public and private sectors’ effective surveillance system.”

Health Undersecretary Mario Villaverde said the test results came Thursday afternoon from RITM and the patient was immediately given antiviral Oseltamivir.

The first case no longer had fever and cough but still has sore throat, said Villaverde.

Tayag said specimens from the index case will be sent to a WHO collaborating center in Melbourne as routine procedure for all specimens that will test positive for the novel AH1N1.

“The child developed the symptoms a day after arrival, so this is also a call for vigilance on the part of the public that people in the country and incoming travelers from abroad, especially from infected areas, submit themselves to quarantine screening and continuous monitoring of health, especially body temperature for 10 days, and to report to the DoH any flu-like symptoms,” said Villaverde.

Villaverde reiterated that the public should observe proper hygiene, strengthen resistance and do social distancing—avoid going to crowded areas if the need is not urgent.

Since there is only a single confirmed case, Villaverde said, there is no need to postpone the opening of schools in June.

Up till then the country had been flu-free despite the disease afflicting citizens of nearby countries like Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan.

In Geneva, a month after the world was alerted to a potential influenza pandemic, doubts fostered by the mild symptoms of the new swine flu virus have prompted the WHO to think twice about sounding the maximum alarm despite the spread of infection in 41 countries.

The WHO on Thursday raised its tally of swine flu cases around the world to 11,034 and 85 deaths. Most of the 791 new cases have been reported in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Mexico confirmed three more deaths linked to the A(H1N1) virus, while the United States confirmed two additional deaths since Wednesday’s tally.
